 Day 1   Arrival at Queen Alia airport in Amman.

 After arrival at the airport in Amman, our representative will meet & assist you with the visa & customs formalities, which usually  needs not more than ½ an hour. Transfer to the hotel in Amman, which takes about 45 minutes. After arrival at the hotel, check-in, dinner & overnight.

 

Day 2   Amman City Tour - Desert Castles – Amman.

 After breakfast we will make a city tour by visiting the old and the modern parts of Amman. We will visit the citadel with the archaeological museum, as well as the well perceived Roman theatre. Then we will go east to visit the Jordan's desert castles from the  Umayyad period. Their fine mosaics, frescoes, stone and stucco  carvings and illustrations, inspired by the best in Persian and Greco - Roman traditions, Qusair Amra, Qasr Mushatta, Qasr al - Kharrana, Qasr at -Tuba and Qasr al – Hallabat are the best evidences of this architecture. Dinner & Overnight.

Day 3   Amman – Jerash & Ajloun – Amman.

 After breakfast we will travel to the north to visit Jerash, the  most well preserved Roman city from the Roman world. The colonnaded  street, large Roman theatres and churches will tell us the  commercial history of this town. Then we will move further north to visit Ajloun castle on a hilltop with 1250m above sea level. It goes  back to the 12th century AD during the period of the Muslim leader Saladin. In the afternoon we will return back to Amman, dinners & overnight.

 

Day 4   Amman- Mukawir- Madaba- Mt. Nebo Baptism - Dead Sea.

After breakfast we will drive toward the early Christian places like: Mukawir, Madaba, Mt. Nebo and Bethany. We will begin with Mukawer, where Johan of the Baptist was decapitated, as a punishment when he refused the marriage of Herodus Antipas from his sister-in-law, then to Madaba, where we will visit the unique mosaic map of Palestine and the holy land from the 6th century AD in the George's church. Then drive to the Mt. Nebo, where Moses saw for the first time the "promised Land". On a clear summer day you can see mountains of Jerusalem, then go down to visit the Baptism site " beyond the Jordan" where Jesus was baptized, has long been known from the Bible (John 1:28 and 10:40) and from the Byzantine and medieval texts. Dinner and overnight in Dead Sea.

 

Day 5   Free for leisure and wellness in Dead Sea.

Enjoy a day at the Dead Sea to swim, where even non-swimmers cannot go down! Or take a sun bath at the beach of the Dead Sea. Dinner & overnight.

 

Day 6   Dead Sea - Kerak – Dana.

Today we will leave the Dead Sea to visit the impressive crusaders  castle of Kerak from the 12th Century AD. Kerak lies on the ancient King's Highway, 75 miles south of Amman. The remaining castle, 4,300 feet above sea level, is imposingly situated on an almost isolated hilltop. Then move by bus to Dana firstly we will visit the old village and then the Natural reserve, Dinner & Overnight in a camp.

 

Day 7  Dana – Shobak - little Petra – Petra.

We will leave Dana and travel toward Shobak, the oldest crusader castle in Trans-Jordan, it is southeast of the Dead Sea and not far from the old kings road. Afterwards we will drive across the  beautiful landscape on the Sharah of mountains, the highest  mountains in Jordan, until we reach little Petra, a former Nabatean station. Drive to Petra, Dinner & overnight.

 

Day 8   The antique city of Petra (the 2nd World Wonder).

 Put on some firm shoes today, because a full day sightseeing of  Petra is in your program. Experience this impressive and unique  Nabatean city, "a true wonderwork"! We pass the 1,2km  famous "Siq"  (ravine) on foot  and see the impressive, from red-rose sandstone curved 40m high Treasury  "Al Khazna". Admire hundreds of buildings,  Façades, Tombs, Baths, Temples and unforgettable stone drawings - Petra extends on a total area of approx. 40qkm. Dinner & overnight.

 

Day 9   Petra (the 2nd World Wonder).

After breakfast we will go a head in discovering the Rose Red city of Petra. After about 3 hours for the main entrance we will reach  the Alter and the obelisks of "Zip Attuf" and "Zip Fir'on", where the Nabateans probably were scarifying their sacrifices. From the summit of "Zip Attuf" we will have a beautiful view over the antique city of Petra. After a short pause we will rise again off over Wadi Faraseh toward the center of the city. The afternoon is free for you. Return over the Siq. Dinner and overnight.

             

Day 10  Petra - Wadi Rum.

After breakfast we will leave Petra to Wadi Rum, the desert valley of the Bedouins, which is surrounded by brown-red, fissured and torn mountain courses.  At Wadi Rum we will make either a short safari tour or a short trek  both of them lead us to the impressing desert places like "Ein  Lawrence" and "Jabal Khaza'ali". There we will have a small pause,  in order to our lunch. Afterwards we will continue moving to our  sleeping place.

            

Day 11   Wadi Rum – Aqaba.

After breakfast we will trek back to our starting point. Finally, we will proceed to Aqaba. Dinner & overnight.

            

Day 12   Free for leisure and shopping.

Enjoy the swimming, snorkeling or take a dive into the crystal-clear water, or you take simply a sun bath at the beach of the Red Sea. For those who like shopping, Aqaba is the most suitable place for such things since it is a free zone. And for those who are  interesting in the underwater world, corals and fish they can enjoy it in Aqaba Aquarium. Dinner & overnight.

 

Day 13   via Wadi Araba & the Dead Sea back to Amman.

Today we will leave Aqaba heading back to Amman via Wadi Araba and the Dead Sea, 400m under sea level, Dinner & overnight.

 

Day 14   Return back home.

Unfortunately, it goes back home today, we hope, that you enjoyed an unforgettable journey with us. Transfer to the airport in Amman, our representative takes over again the departure and customs  formalities and says goodbye to you.
